A vibrant project with Thanet pop artist Charlie Evaristo-Boyce ticks all of the boxes of the at Ramsgate Arts Primary School.

The pupils were asked to paint, draw, and write over the boxes that have been eventually combined to make a large ‘amazing’ collaborative work which is to be on show at Margate’s Dreamland park this season.

Charlie, who runs Margate’s Most Medium Sized Gallery in Fort Road Yard, said: “The theme is positivity. We would like to encourage, empower and enable teenagers to embrace their individuality. We’d like these people to think of what we think is ‘amazing’ within their lives, about their homes and any other thing they find ‘amazing’.”

Inspired from the images located on food packaging and adverts, Charlie said he couldn’t switch on an actuality show on tv without hearing people the word ‘amazing’ or walk down the road without seeing it applied to advertising.
He added: “It may be a word of your now and it is not going anywhere soon. Everybody is able to connect with the word also it posesses very positive, feel great message.”

Pupils were also unveiled in simple sculptural techniques, basic screen printing, plus the using word play and text in art.
Their selection of boxes sculptured right into a giant ‘amazing’ mural will probably be on show at Dreamland’s Hall Through the Sea venue where they could be seen by family, friends and individuals to the park.

Charlie also used most of the pupils’ are the element of his Mural Via the Sea project that is certainly on the list of attractions in the park’s Block Party event.
RAPS Head of School Nick Budge described the ‘amazing box’ project being a fantastic technique for examining various kinds of art for his pupils.
