Florida’s 89.1 WUFT-FM Morning Edition host Glenn Richards speaks with NPR’s own Guy Raz (TED Radio Hour & How I Built This) & Mindy Thomas (from Absolutely Mindy on SiriusXM as well as a USF alum). Together they host NPR’s first podcast for curious kids and families, Wow on earth.
Each week, Guy and Mindy explore stories in science, technology, and new discoveries. “Wow inside the World is actually a place where we can attain crazy cool things which are happening available to us, every day!” says Thomas. “We want to help spark conversations between kids and various kids plus utilizing their grown-ups that could ultimately bring about their very own big discoveries.”

For nearly 36 months, Guy and Mindy co-hosted a Friday news segment on SiriusXM’s Kids Place Live channel called Breakfast Blast Newscast. The segment went on to win the International Ny Festivals Award for perfect children’s program in 2016.

Guy Raz is the award-winning host, co-creator, and editorial director of a couple NPR’s most widely used programs: TED Radio Hour and How I Built This. Both shows are heard by much more than 14 million people month to month around the world. He joined NPR in 1997.

Mindy Thomas may be the Gracie Best rated host of the national, interactive, Absolutely Mindy Show, heard weekday mornings on SiriusXM’s Kids Place Live channel. From 2006-2017, Mindy served as being the Director of Children’s Programming for little ones Place Live, establishing herself being an expert and advocate of both children’s literature, as well as growing genre of independent family music.
Mindy lives in Northern Virginia with your ex husband, and a couple curious and creative kids who provide her with endless quantities of laughs, spilled milk and inspiration. This wounderful woman has no plans of ever growing up.
