A Dane Court Grammar School student has returned from an interesting week of international Rugby Sevens competition. Year 9 student Abbie taken part in the Paris World Games between July 9-13.
The event is definitely the product of three years’ development by a band of volunteers originally inspired because of the UEFA European Championship located in France in 2016. Initially focused on football, the worldwide gathering now incorporates badminton, basketball, handball, rugby sevens and volleyball.

Abbie was selected to compete in Rugby Sevens with the Paris World Games, a tournament which pulls some 70 countries across 5 continents in a variety of sports. Abbie, who will be a normal squad member of Aylesford RFC, and three other people of her team ingested the unique opportunity resulting from an innovative link with Harlequins and Aylesford RFC.
