Best-selling author Brian Moses has published a poem on his blog penned by way of Westgate eight-year-old after being ‘bowled over’ by its quality.
This Goat was written by St Gregory’s primary pupil Bradley Lawrence in an ‘Able Writers’ programme led by Mr Moses at Holy Trinity school.
It was the very first writing day Bradley ended up being to and also the result was the brilliant poem.

After publishing This Goat on his website Mr Moses (pictured) said: “Having spent a final 43 years promoting writing in schools, both being a teacher so that as a freelance writer in schools, you will need much to surprise me, but Bradley did just that.
“I think he’d had some of those moments where he’d pushed some control and concepts just came tumbling away from his head and onto paper. I’d noticed him writing furiously within the Margate able writers’ session, mainly on task, and was keen to see what had engaged him much. As i read his poem, I had been bowled over by his idea, precisely how he’d developed it, plus the clever way he previously ended it.
“I always talk, with these sessions, for the fact that the last lines of poems, how they can have the reader smile or laugh, be sad or frightened, imagine wonder. Bradley’s poem touches a lot of those areas in my opinion.
“Keep writing Bradley. You have a huge talent.”

Bradley’s mum Cassie said the poem was inspired by a family trip to Colchester Zoo.
The Hartsdown pastoral support worker said: “We traveled to the zoo many months ago and it was at the first try he has got been close enough to the goats to move them. Tom turned uses a goat because has loved them from the time that!”
The mum-of-two said she and husband Stephen ?were ‘surprised’ but proud when Bradley’s poem was published.
She said: “The poem is very articulate for an eight-year-old. I had to spend unexpectedly somewhat as in Year 1 he wasn’t that creative in composing but maybe going to the able writers day inspired him.
“When Brian Moses don it his blog Bradley really was chuffed and was reading all of the comments on facebook.
“We are incredibly happy with him.”

This Goat

This goat has sat on worlds of smelly things:
He has experienced portals crafted from sausages.
This goat can take shape houses, schools, play cricket and may build time machines and maintain people as pets and may make wars happen.
He has dug holes and made holes and kills goat warriors and that goat rules the earth.
This goat should purchase mansions and then he runs goat factories and it’s a billionaire.
He’s climbed mountains, built monuments and cities, he could be the king around the globe and if anyone stood in his way he previously annihilate them.
This goat owns most of the football teams including a gold soccer club and footballs.
He has claimed himself king in the whole of space and is the reigning king of other nutritional foods.
This goat would be the richest living part of the universe; he owns diamonds, emeralds, pearls rubies, sapphires and amethysts.
He rules the universe and perhaps the multiverse for centuries and that he could be the strongest biggest thing in the entire of space.
This goat may be on adventures that will besides kill you and destroy your soul and spirit.
