Children from Newington Community Primary in Ramsgate have achieved the top SATS ends up with the school’s history.
Figures for the tests taken by last year’s Year 6 group continue the upward trend with well over one-fourth of your 90 pupils adopting the top grading of ‘higher standard’ inside national attainment tests in reading, writing and mathematics.
Head teacher Cliff Stokes said: “These are Newington’s greatest results. We are thrilled with the school, workers, our community first and foremost the pupils who worked over-time.
“They now are reaping the rewards by getting in their secondary education this September which includes a fantastic platform for continued success.”
Deputy head teacher Becky Andrews is lead for SATS at Newington. She added: “We are exceptionally like to show off the achievements in our Year 6 children recently.
“They have worked incredibly hard in their time at NCPS, showing themselves to generally be highly driven and determined individuals; we wish them every success in fulfilling their lifelong dreams and ambitions.”
Figures also indicate that above 80 per-cent of pupils comfortably met the necessary national standard level for their SATS.
Mr Stokes said: “Our curriculum is centred clearly on bespoke learning for your children and this is paying dividends as we can really focus how you will deliver our wide range of subjects.
“Our pupils ought to have high expectations and grow into self-motivated as they simply learn innovative skills that could carry them beyond education in their adult lives.”
Newington pupils should look beyond secondary education annually once the school holds its Newington University programme having a whole variety of diverse courses given to pupils in a week-long initiative.
Mr Stokes said: “The university programme raises aspirations for children. ?Newington pupils have gone onto Oxbridge together with other university education pathways, and then we see our Newington University week per year being a vital foundation for their chance to learn that is certainly fun likewise.
“What is abundantly clear through our results which include SATS, and in what ways our little ones respond so positively for their school journey here, is always that Newington is continuing to enhance its high standards of all-round education.”
