Pupils and families at Newington Community Primary School in Ramsgate have united to assist those less fortunate than themselves.
The school, which assists numerous charities all year round, has removed all the stops to supply a bumper crop of food for needy families.
At the annual Harvest Festival assembly, Year 6 pupils delivered a beneficial presentation about supporting those involved with need, until the stockpile of tinned and dried food was devoted to Ramsgate Salvation Army Christian charity which can distribute the goods.
During the range generally hall, children learned about what harvest is and why you should celebrate it. Additionally, they heard how Harvest Festival is well known around the globe C Festival of Yams in West Africa, Thanksgiving in the states, and Harvest Moon Festival in China.
Teacher and charity leader at Newington Hannah Pullman co-ordinated the harvest celebration.

Pupils were also told how some countries will not be as fortunate as others, and kids in the Botoa Elementary School in Philippines were highlighted.
Miss Pullman visited the Philippines in February 2016 and was included in the work done within the school which is run with a charity that pays for the sponsorship of babies to go to school, pays for school supplies and repairs and pays for classrooms.
She said: “On my return with the trip I had been motivated to be a trustee in the charity.
“Although our Harvest Festival isn’t about donating to this particular charity, I am it is vital for little ones to grasp the advantages they have got, particularly at Newington. Later during the school year Hopefully undertake a fundraiser for the charity.”
At the assembly pupils sang well-loved Harvest songs including Conkers, Another Year’s Harvest, Start to see the Farmers, and Cauliflowers Fluffy.
Head Teacher Cliff Stokes praised pupils and families for digging deep that can help others. He added: “It would have been a lovely event, and this again demonstrated how our Newington community unites to back up those invoved with need, in order to celebrate how fortunate we’re also in your life.”
