Children from Chilton Primary School in Ramsgate have dressed as essential people through history like Florence Nightingale, Marie Curie, King Henry VIII and Winston Churchill since they investigated their achievements.
For all this term Year 2 pupils will explore the lives of an individual who created a difference, including scientists, rulers, artists, writers, and explorers.
The exciting project already has caught their imaginations. Year 2 teacher Helen Rowland-Hill said: “They learn about the decisions that rulers built in yesteryear, famous explorers and their maps together with comparing their particular lives to people who lived years ago.

“We also educate they about important scientists as well as the basis for their historical discoveries and in what ways they changed the earth.”
Pupils? make use of a number of materials for making the picture in their chosen person of history as well as working out paint as Monet and Picasso did, whilst hearing music composed by famous musicians.

Mrs Rowland-Hill added: “We usually see that youngsters become extremely excited about a range of different careers due to people they understand.
“They love searching for writers and explorers as well as take inspiration from successful male and female scientists.? This topic engages their young minds and enables us to talk about a wide array of opinions and concepts.”
