Children purchase their creative skills in making and decorate mini cardboard money boxes the same shape as houses meant for the homeless.
Pennies for Porchlight, the charity that really works when using the homeless and vulnerable people, involved the small collecting boxes full of coins through money slots inside the roofs.
The school also provided a mini mountain of tinned and packaged food plus fruits and vegetables for being offered to the area’s needy via Ramsgate Salvation Army.
In two special Harvest Festival assemblies pupils from all of the year groups focused entirely on the ethos of helping others less fortunate than themselves and in addition they sang harvest celebration songs on the packed hall workout routines included their parents and families.
Deputy Head of School Natalie Barrow said: “The Chilton approach is to instil inside our pupils a clear range of values while they progress through our school and these include kindness and support for his or her whole community, not only to their loved ones as well as school.
“Once again we had been overwhelmed with donations for the of our charities which perform much-needed utilize a cross-section in our community.
“Chilton is proud to supply a little assistance as well as once it helps our kids grow and create a feeling of social responsibility.”
