Four and five year olds at Ramsgate Arts Primary have explored the realm of magnificent mini beasts.
They came nose to nose which includes a range of creatures when Zoo Lab ranger Tyler Barry brought a selection of her favourites to varsity to satisfy Reception classes.

The visitors included Pocus, the American corn snake; Shrek and Fiona giant African land snails; Jane Austen, the Madagascan hissing cockroach; Millie, the enormous African millipede; Diva, a white-kneed African tarantula spider; and Harley, a cuddly black rescue rabbit.

Tyler’s show was titled About Me but it was specially targeted with the youngest pupils going to school so they can explore various senses C touch, feel, movement C and the way these also sign up for the creatures we were holding able to see close up.
They also heard of the creatures’ habitat, their favourite foods, and ways in which they changed while they grew to adulthood.

Children had a chance to touch, feel and stroke most of their visitors but they investigated the tarantula inside in the spider’s container.
Head of college Nick Budge said: “This is a wonderful prospects for our little ones and our pupils learned an array of key points around the creatures and exactly how they feed and live.

“Educational workshops are valuable for that children when they give life what we should are teaching they usually gain real understanding of learning.”
Zoo Lab say: “We explain the concepts of science in ways that youngsters can readily see and touch. Children can see, touch and take care of animals, and to understand more.

“Zoo Lab is focused on fun and imagination C we grab the children for a voyage of discovery.? In everything we all do, animals tend to be the centre of products.”
