The Southwest Advocacy Group may offer a no cost employability conference from Monday through Friday with the SWAG Family Resource Center?to support any?Gainesville resident who is unemployed or underemployed find jobs inside southwest area.

The Family Resource Center will host resume day on Monday. Starting at 9 a.m., a speaker will instruct participants about what constitutes a good resume. From 30-minute lecture, participants will write their own personal resume through volunteers, Elliott said.
Participants might also print copies in their resume and be given a copy saved to some USB so that they can maintain case they should be make changes with it later.
On Tuesday, SWAG will host a similar event to boost interviewing skills. After having a brief lecture, participants will likely be divided into types of several people. Then, volunteers ask each person the audience some common interview questions. Elliott said a great opportunity for customers to learn — ?not just through practice, but observation.
“The Employability Conference is basically intending to help to make an impact because that’s going to help build the arrogance standard of the individuals actively playing the mock interviews and resume building,” Carroll said.
During the duty fair held at the Tower Road Library from 2-6 p.m., prospective job-seekers could meet with about 25 employers and take part in other resources, Elliott said.

All employers on the job fair shall be located along bus route 75.
