Laleham Gap students and staff get festive – and lift cash for people who are homeless

Youngsters at Laleham Gap School have raised 100s of pounds for a homelessness charity using a Christmas fair.

Year 8 students at the communication and interaction special school in Ramsgate chose to raise funds for Porchlight.

Every class contributed with chocolate fountains and human fruit machines figuring one of several stalls. There was also be a Christmas tree competition. The winning class, 11HS, scooped a holiday to your local restaurant! Preserving the ethos of the school the trees ought to be manufactured from re-cycled materials.

“That the kids themselves came up with the idea, around Christmas, to finance abdominal muscles practical work that people you will come to Porchlight, is incredible. It can be lovely to view the pupils understading about these issues and taking measures to essentially change things.”
