Thirteen Youngstown State University STEM students toured Lubrizol on Oct. 20. Students from YSU’s chapter of yank Institute of Chemical Engineers could actually tour the guarana plant, together with be involved in other tours, for instance a mechanical testing tour.
Students were welcomed having a Chemical Engineer and Co-Op Overview given by Brittany Folino, manager of university relations and campus recruiting, and Jonathan Gordon, process development engineer and Lubrizol additives chemical engineering co-op program manager. During the plant tour, students met Bethany McCain, platform optimization engineer and YSU STEM chemical engineering alumna.
Lubrizol is often a STEM community partner found in Wickliffe and it is some sort of supplier of chemical additive technologies. Their technologies include driveline products, engine oil products, viscosity modifiers, fuel products, and industrial products.
