West End star to have masterclass at Thanet performing arts academy

West End star Charles Brunton normally takes a masterclass on the ?Pauline Quirke Academy of Performing Arts in Broadstairs this month.

The weekend performing arts classes for 4 to 18-year-olds, based at Charles Dickens school, ?will welcome the actor on July 21.

Charles’ credits include playing Miss Trunchbull inside free airline End and Broadway versions of Matilda (and the like) and he is keen to move on his skills and expertise towards students in Thanet.

Beth Greenlaw, Principal of PQA Thanet, said: “I’m so excited that we’re able to welcome Charles on the academy for this exciting masterclass. Our students have worked so faithfully all term and that is a wonderful way to round heli-copter flight academic year.

“We’re also looking towards welcoming plenty of prospective students to our own taster session on Saturday 14 July, to allow them to enrol prior to the masterclass this particular week!”

At PQA students spend three hours split between sessions of comedy and drama, musical theatre and film and tv. Specialist modules, stuffed with tips that actress Pauline Quirke has learnt from 50 years in the market, teach all they wanted for people planning to act, sing, dance or direct such as a professional.

For students are motivated to be able to work professionally there is an possibility to join Quirky Kidz Creative Management (QK) C a firm that exclusively represents PQA students. QK clients have won parts in lots of high-profile projects including Charlie & The Chocolate Factory (West End); Matilda the Musical (West End & UK Tour), Bet on Thrones (HBO), EastEnders (BBC); along with the smash-hit feature film Les Misrables among others.

PQA Thanet is holding a totally free taster session on Saturday, July 14 from 1.45pm-5pm and students are you are welcome to sign on killing the masterclass the subsequent week.

Academies train on Saturdays from 9.45am C 1pm and 1.45pm-5pm within the Charles Dickens School, Broadstairs Road, Broadstairs.
