No matter that you check out YSU, there will always be STEM students making an impression on campus. Whether our students consider part in organizations, sororities or fraternities, internships, or volunteer services, its noticeable that each student is striving to remain the ideal they will get.

This year, Rayann Atway has moved up to take on the function of YSU’s Student Government Association President. Rayann is a senior in the Biology, Pre-Med program and features accomplished several wonderful landmarks in her own time at YSU. In the past two summers, she gets interned at National Institutes of Health (NIH). The girl with a component of many organizations on campus, like YSU’s American Medical Student Organization (AMSA), Alpha Epsilon Delta (AED), and Student Government Association (SGA). She’s yet another an associate the YSU Honors College where she actively participates within the Pen Pals Program.

“I fell excited about SGA,” she said. “I love the things SGA does for YSU students and our community.”

This year, SGA are going to be tackling several projects. These projects add the continuing development of the food pantry, assistance in the neighborhood, the product range of supplies for hurricane victims, textbook affordability, and improving voter registration rates on campus.

Students who definitely are serious about joining SGA can attend their meetings each and every Monday at 4:00pm. To find out more about SGA’s projects or how to get involved, contact Rayann Atway at [email protected].
