Elizabeth Urig of Canfield, Ohio, recently was awarded a survey Abroad Grant worth $1,000 from your Honor Society of Phi Kappa Phi-the nation’s oldest and the majority selective collegiate honor society for everyone academic disciplines. Urig is among the 50 students nationwide to take delivery of the award.

A recent graduate of applied mathematics and mechanical engineering at Youngstown State University, Urig make use of the grant to examine abroad in Budapest, Hungary.

The shopping process for just a study abroad grant is dependant on the applicant’s academic achievement, campus and community service, relation of visit academic preparation and career goals, a personal statement, references, and acceptance towards a study abroad program.

Established in 2001, Phi Kappa Phi’s Study Abroad Grant Program has awarded much more than $775,000 to undergraduate students. Along with these grants, the Society awards $1.4 million each biennium to qualifying students and members through graduate fellowships, funding for post-baccalaureate development, member and chapter awards, and grants for local, national and international literacy initiatives.
