Year 1 pupils at Newington Community Primary School in Ramsgate have completed a sensational project.
It all began in the event the Magic Toymaker left children a voice message asking them for making him some toys for his workshop.
Head of the season 1 Daniella Jamieson said: “We have learnt about old and new toys, what toys are constructed of, toys business countries so we have investigated which material is far better produce a toy to experience with in the bath.”
To bring individual with an end, pupils were challenged to create and make a hand puppet to apply in the puppet show.
Mrs Jamieson added: “We practised a running stitch and added decorations to the material glove puppet designs to bring our character to life. The outcomes were great additionally, the puppet shows were fun and interesting.”
Head teacher Cliff Stokes added: “The Magic Toymaker produced a big affect learning for your Year 1 children. They discovered a great deal of new skills, worked together and shared their ideas together, and collaborated with a show using hand puppets that they had made.
“Learning that way is rather successful and then we can’t wait to see what Year 1 along with teachers stand up to next.”
