Creative children happen to be motivated to create self-portraits in the design of acclaimed Mexican artist Frida Kahlo.
She may be the latest ‘artist from the term’ for pupils at Ramsgate Arts Primary School to explore and the’ve been challenged to implement bright colours and fill the historical past with their pictures with stuff that are important for them.
All the artwork are going to be displayed in class and certificates shall be awarded on the best entries.
Art teacher Mike Brown said: “We practice a number of artists, styles and techniques to ensure that pupils really can arrive at explore what motivated the creators of probably the most inspiring, evocative, challenging delightful artwork the earth has seen.”
In recent terms pupils have explored the project of Andy Warhol, environmental artist Andy Goldsworthy, impressionist Vincent Van Gogh, comic magazine art, avant garde artist Jean Arp, and illustrator Johanna Basford.

Meanwhile a different display of lino cuts by using artist Cath Deeson from Broadstairs adorns the wall at the entrance to your main hall at RAPS, as one example of another style of artwork to pupils and visitors.

Frida Facts:

Frida Kahlo de Rivera (July 1907CJuly 1954) would be a Mexican artist who painted many portraits, self-portraits, and works inspired with the nature and artefacts of Mexico.
Inspired by way of the country’s popular culture, she employed a na?ve folk art style to discover questions of identity, post-colonialism, gender, class, and race in Mexican society.
Her paintings often had strong autobiographical elements and mixed realism with fantasy.
Kahlo may be called a surrealist or magical realist.
