He traded in the usual clothes for the entire day and opted instead to sport a college sweatshirt and a few jeans so he could really purchase a feel for the ability.

On Wednesday, Mar. 21, Jackson Sasser, president of Santa Fe College, visited six classes and became “Student for a Day.” He visited classes like integrated math, intro to networking and presentation.

Sasser isn’t fresh to roleplaying for a student though. He’s been repeating this event yearly in the past Many years because fresh he became president with the college.

He declared that this isn’t an gimmick and that it’s actually not about PR.

“I’ve always believed, how would you lead whatever you don’t know?” Sasser said.

His goal for the entire day would be to try to blend in to the classroom setting.

“My first thought as I planned, and i also asked the school to never introduce me at the beginning of the course, since i need to be authentic. If towards the end they will say who this weirdo man is incorporated in the class, I’m fine from it,” Sasser said. “But I’d enjoy being included in the learning process and then determine how students interact.”

The high grade he attended was an 8 a.m. integrated math class. Sasser asserted that he didn’t have an 8 a.m. class while he what food was in college.

During the class, students learned the right way to factor trinomials. By the end of the lesson when the students were given time for them to work towards their homework, Sasser spent a while conversing with the scholars concerning future career goals.

He advised students to “find something you can’t live without.”

Jennifer Chinnery, a math student, thought it was great that Sasser came to her class.

“I mean I failed to know who he was, I’ve obviously never met him before,” Chinnery said. “I think it demonstrates they are worried about students and their wellbeing and also their general happiness.”

Chinnery stated that Sasser is very personable and extremely kind.

“He just looks like a daily guy that you might literally go communicate with should you want to,” Chinnery said.

Sasser’s second type of the morning was an intro to networking class. During the class, Sasser was paired with an individual, Clinton Caldwell, and sent to create a PC.
Mari Jayne Frederick, the professor of the intro to networking class, had been getting three years for Sasser in the future visit her class during Student for that Day.

She asserted that later on, she hopes which he will visit a handful of Santa Fe’s other networking and security classes.

“If I really could afford it, that’s all I’d personally do is drop by class,” Sasser said. “I’m interested in everything.”
