STEM Leadership Society is definitely an organization for a lot of majors within STEM who would like to become a little more included in volunteer work and professional networking.
Every year, invitations are transmitted to local community twelfth grade seniors who plan to attend YSU like a STEM student. Those students, who are in good academic standing, have a possible opportunity to be interviewed to participate SLS.
To be accepted, students must display academic success together with leadership skills. That is why, many SLS members also are involved in other student organizations.
In item the group’s monthly meetings, members volunteer to aid with lots of STEM-related events around campus also in the area community. SLS organized Satisfy the Employers as well as a recent STEM jacket sale, and in addition they helped by helping cover their the STEM Open House and Silly Science Sunday.
