The first sports visit to Ramsgate Arts Primary, which opened last September, would be a fun family event of races, activities and laughter.
More than 150 pupils cheered on by families and friends took part in an active programme tailored geared to all age groups and abilities for the digital camera playing field and games area.
As along with traditional running races, children aged four upwards took part in a carousel of activities that ensured everyone had to be able to represent their school house and produce points for the final total.

The games were arranged by sports coach Jenny Horrigan who said: “It became a brilliant event to mark our original sports time at RAPS.
“The children really got involved plus it was lovely to determine numerous parents and relatives show up to back up many of the pupils.

“I would enjoy by way of thanking my staff colleagues who helped throughout, marshalling those things, being sure that there had been loads of refreshments for anyone, keeping the scores and counting the points.
“Although there is total house, I’m sure which the positive and happy memories for all our youngsters are their gold medals.”

Activities included space hopper races, soft javelin throwing, dressing up relay races, egg and spoon, water carrying obstacle course, balance beams, and shooting balloon targets with water guns.
The day finished with races featuring mums, dads and teachers, cheered on through the pupils, prior to final points totals were announced.

Top scorers were techniques, then red, blue and yellow C but every one of the competitors were rewarded for efforts.
Head of college Nick Budge told the audience: “As it turned out our first sports trip to this school we thought i would mark the occasion giving just about every pupil a medal C everyone’s a winner at Ramsgate Arts Primary.”
